Camp Courageous

This was the 4th year I have helped plan the Camp Courageous Hawkeye Football Spring Fling Tailgate. Camp Courageous is a respite care camp for kids and adults with various disabilities. Each year we plan a gathering for the kids with the Hawkeye football team. We have lunch, take special tours of the locker rooms and press box, then the kids head over to the Bubble (practice Field) and play around with the team. This is where the real fun happens! Alex has been going to this event each year (even when I was 8 1/2 monthe pregnant) and this year he had an especially good time.
This was Alex after the event, in the car. Two minutes later he was sound asleep.

My new friend Josh, he was such a ham...loved the spot light.

Chic, with Alex and Matt. Chic was my contact at the University, he is a fomer player and great to work with.

Each year we get a new photo with Coach Ferentz. One of the nicest guys around!
